Poems

Sonja and Brittanee Oulipo Poem

Slowly studying styling studs singing
Beautiful brunettes belching big bubbles
Slowly stalking silver shivering steeds
Beautiful bodacious babes baking brownies
Slowly still sitting seemingly sexy
Beautiful blue bouncy balls bounding

Eraser Poem

Not Taken

diverged in yellow
sorry both
one I stood
looked down
under
Then just
Better
it was
passing there
worn about the same,
morn equally
step black.
the day
know leads on
I ever come back
sigh
and ages
Two roads
less traveled by
made all the difference.

The origional poem was "The road not taken" by Robert Frost I like this poem originally and thought it would be fun to redo on my own. The original poem is below.

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Collaboration

I really enjoyed the collaboration exercise if was fun to see other people's funny words and things that they enjoy and put them together. The words I choose were periwinkle, blob, cactus, and obstacle. The story I came up with was I came upon an obstacle one day there was a cactus in my way. Holding a periwinkle blob on a tray. There was a sign that said "Eat this blob and you can get away." So I ate the blob and soon flew away.

I also like other collaboration exercises one that my friends and me used to do are mad libs. Thi is a collaboration because you uses other people’s stories and add our own words to them. You can also do them in a group also making them a collaboration. So my friends and I did one the other day we came up with

Amusement Parks
An amusement park is always fun to visit on a hot summer
cactus. When you get there, you can rent a
building and go for a swim. And there are lots of
goofy things to eat. You can start off with a hot dog on
a/an hat with mustard, relish, and feet
on it. Then you can have a buttered ear of sugar with a
nice sloppy slice of watermelon and a big bottle of
cold lemonaid. When you are full, it's time to go on the
roller coaster, which should settle your tree.
Other amusement park rides are the Dodge-Em which has little
bees, that you drive and run into other knees,
and the Merry-Go-Round where you can sit on a big mom
and try to grab the gold flower as you ride past.

The Postcards

“I converted because I look sexy in a head scarf”

It doesn’t matter what I believe
I just want everyone to look at me

I chose this religion
Because it was the easiest decision

You might feel a certain way
But I just want to look hot all day

How we were created
What happens after death
What do you truly believe

I don’t care about all of this
I just want to ware the scarf

I think that this post card could be very controversial because to most people religion is a big issue and they don’t just choose their faith based on what they get to ware. Many women in faiths where they have to keep covered up feel like they are being put down and are not able to be who they want to be. But they follow these rules because it’s what they truly what they believe.

Clair De Lune by Debussy

Listening to the music I tired to relax, close my eyes and come up with a story, I got the feelings of love, fairies, dancing, and a wonderland scene…
The carriages arrive, pulling into the wooded forest, looking down a path with lanterns hanging from the branches. The party is about to begin and the ladies with their dates on their arms start down the path towards the dance floor. Their dresses flowing to the floor, fluffy with jewels beaded along the sides, and long satin gloves as if they were in a fairy tale. Some ladies with their hair down in long flowing curls while others with their curls piled in decorative styles. Their reach the dance floor and look around the clearing, the orchestra in the corner playing soft melodies for the couples to dance to through the night. Looking to the sky the stars twinkle as if doing their own dance. If you look even harder you may even see fairies their small perfect bodies hovering around dancing in their own perfect evening. The couples dance the evening away hand in hand; it becomes the perfect night of love and relaxing bliss. As the party comes to an end the couples begin to leave just as they came. Back down the dim romantically lit path back to the carriages and on with their ever so busy lives, with the ever present thought of their perfect night.
